I am after a personal plate for my Mk4 Golf 1.8T

I dont really want something related to my name, more to the car or something general car related would be better.

I have been doing the usual searches on the on-line personal plate sites but I cant find anything that has caught my eye.

I am getting this as an inheritance gift rather than the actuall money, I can go up to 2000pounds for the right plate.

Any ideas???

V3 DUB ?1980

M1 VWG (my vw golf?) ?1930

V9 LKS ?1930

FA51 LAP ?1545

T18 CAR ?990 (unfortunately no CAR 18T - can get MUY 18T but you need to ask for the price)

T16 RBO ?1145

TUR 900S ?1595

Got most of these from http://www.regtransfers.co.uk/

I think the top one is really good. Out of interest, why go for a car specific one instead of something that you can transfer to a different car? I'm looking just now for mine, and specifically didnt want a car related one even though I found a few good ones for a vw/mk4. If I remember any others I'll let you know.

Do have a look at the DVLA website. I got a reg for the wifes car and the companies like regtransfers etc all showed they had the plate I wanted. When I looked ay th DVLA site they had it as well. The main thing was, it was ?80 cheaper through the DVLA. Basically some of the reg's the agencies are just buying from the DVLA and then selling on to you after adding the ?80 ! Definetly worth a lookat the DVLA. (they are very quick as well, phoned up, paid with visa card, had the paerwork the next day, went to DVLA local office the day after and job done, (forgot to mention, got new plates from GT graphixs, excellent service and next day delivery)

Thats a lot of money for a personlised reg. If you sell the car in a couple of years & buy a different Marque what will you do with the Reg. no. I would/did go for a Personalised reg. which is relevant to my name & is easily transferrable to your next car.
