Hi

Ordered a Touran a few weeks ago but the stealers' salesmen seem to differ in expected delivery times. The first I spoke to quoted 12 weeks but "may well be here in 8 weeks" the second quoted the standard 12 weeks.

What have been your delivery times been like?

Cheers

My dealer seems pretty good in calling to advise where the car is. He called with the build week and an estimate of the delivery date, when it got to build stage 1 and when it completed build and is awaiting shipment. That's the way it should be if you ask me.

Got a call from the dealer.

Oooohh Good my car is ready................... Nope!!!

Was their finance guy trying to stitch/ sell me the finace package. I must have mentioned 5 times that I have got a 5.8% loan deal, which they cannot get any where near, but he would argue black is white- Doh! Talking of special packages, balloons here ballons there, sounded more like a kids party [:D]. Still got rid of him in the end so no real problem.

Anyway........... If we get our september cars on say the 30th September, does that basically mean that we lose a months worth of tax, as it will be taxed from the beginning of Sept, whereas if we get it on the 1st October then the tax would start from then???

My car is now at the dealer. My wife will be picking it up probably next Friday or a week on Monday. I won't see it for a month as I am away with my work [:(]

You do lose a months road tax if you collect on 30th, who cares though as it is only a tenner or something. Now who said us Scots were tight [:p][:D]

tell your wife to wait and let u pik it up kenl!

[:p]

That would be ideal but we are running a courtesy car of their's which they probably want back to sell.

Today actually they borrowed it as they had a customer interested in it.

Mine was being built week 36 and they said it would be 2 - 3 weeks which makes it this week by my reckoning. It looks as if you guys are starting to get yours so hopefully I will have a message on the old answering machine when I get back!
