Hello [au]

Info:

Bora TDi, 1999, 110BHP, Lowered 40mm On Jamax Coilovers

Problem: [brick]

When Driving Above 45MPH (Approx.), If You Turn The Steering When 'Slighty Right' You Can Hear A Constant 'Vibration Noise' I Think Coming From The Passenger Side Front.

It Gets Worse In My Opion The Faster You Go.... As Soon As You Go Back Left With The Steering Wheel The Noise Goes.

Attempted Fixes So Far:

  • I Have Had The Tracking Done
  • Drivers Side Steering Arm Replaced
  • Both Suspension Top Mounts & Bearings

Maybe Coincidence But The Noise Has Become Noticeable Since The Steering Arm (Although The Other Side) Was Replaced Along With Both Suspension Top Mounts & Bearings.

Advised It Could Be:

  • N/S/F Wheel Bearing
  • O/S/F Wheel Bearing
  • C.V Joint
  • Driveshaft
  • Gearbox
  • Diff Bearings

Please Does Someone Have Any Idea As This 'Fix' List Could Prove EXPENSIVE! - Also, The Garage Cannot See Any Play In The Bearings BUT Haven't Pushed The Brake Pads Back To Check.

Many Thanks [:D]

Sounds like a wheel bearing, is it more of a whirring type noise?

CV joints usually click if you put the car on full lock as well, does that happen if you try to turn sharply or whilst manoevering in a carpark?
