My local VW stealer parts desk informed me that the AGU engine has a duel input Camshaft sensor that does both cam & crank sensing. It doesn't have a coventional crank sensor.

No wonder I couldn't find the damn thing! []

 

Having same issue with mine [:S] Fault came up after i had a cam change.. any ideas where it is on the AUM? [:|]

 

Still can't see it[:$]

As you look at the engine with bonnet open, front right under the air plenum.

 

Hold on i'll get the Bently.....

thump thump thump up the stairs.

 

I thought it would be somewhere around the flywheel area, but i'm damned if I can see it.

 

It's probably bolted into the block.

If no better answer comes, I'll go all the way upstairs get the Bently and look it up for you !
