Quick question everyone.

Replaced the thermostat and done a coolant change last week. all warmed up and got to temp (90') fine.

This week driving to work, ive noticed the car takes a while to get up to norm. temp. approx. ~ 10 miles.

Could this be due to the low temps we've had this week ?? or should i be looking at soemthing else?

Thanks in advance

Steve

Similar boat, did the stat before the cold weather, does take slightly longer to warm. Now its like minus it takes ages. Though depends how you drive :). Dont forget when your gauge gets to 90 the car will probably be around 70-75 degrees. Takes a few miles longer to get to what it states on the dash.

Best bet is to run block 003 on VCDS.

Another thing is that obviously your coolant sensor may be faulty but if its reading it all fine and doesnt fluctuate then that should be fine. Mine since doing the waterpump and sensor takes longer now to hit the 90 mark than before.
