thanks, just read instructions, it said some will have all the extra bits done and you just need wiring loom and stalk, do you know if mine will have those extra bits done?
Sorry bud, I've got no idea. I'd take a punt and guess it had something to do with the original car spec. Perhaps the extra bits you're on about were only done on the Highline, or perhaps on the Highline & Sport?

That's a question for someone with more knowledge than me.

Anyone?
you can get a full kit from teesidevw. you just need it activated on VagCom. i also fitted soft touch indicators also from Teeside.
You only need the extra loom for the petrol models, for the diesel everything comes with the retrofit kit.

It's all plug and play and comes with instructions you just fit the last wire to the fuseboard.

The additional bits are a second loom that goes from the plug box underneath the scuttle panel to the ECU.

On the 1.9 PD diesel engines, this wiring is already installed (as it is on the V6 engine too. It's not installed on the 1.8T petrol engines though). It's not spec dependent, it's just there.

So to install cruise control on your car, you'll need to install the stalk and the loom in the cabin to go from the stalk to the plug box.
