BAR Honda driver Jenson Button has come under fire for dismissing the chances of women ever being successful in Formula One - because of their 'mood swings and big breasts'.

Button was speaking during an interview with men's magazine FHM, in which he downplayed the chances of female IRL star Danica Patrick (pictured with Button), who finished fourth in this year's Indianapolis 500, reaching Formula One.

"Danica is very quick. But in F1 cars I can't see it happening due to the G-force in fast corners," began Jenson, after which his reasoning became more questionable:

"And one week of the month you wouldn't want to be on the circuit with them, would you? A girl with big boobs would never be comfortable in the car. And the mechanics wouldn't concentrate. Can you imagine strapping her in?"

God, what a chauvinist pig, I don't think his comments are very funny at all...[:D]

This may have been taken out of context but even still, he should engage his brain before he opens his gob. I would now love to see that lass thrash his *** big style. What a to****.

He is more overated than Tim Henman.........

If had anychance of winning a World Title the surely he would have won some races by now & showen that he can be a contender. Here's hoping Rubens puts him in his place next season

I think some of the comments levelled at Button in this thread have been a little harsh.

I still think he is in the top 5 or 6 drivers on the grid, despite his idiotic comments about women drivers.

"Can you imagine stapping her in!!" [^o)] What a d*ck!

I think there are more than 6 drivers on the grid that have won races so he is below them for starters.........

Yes but winning races is a combination of driver skill and the car underneath him. BAR have qualified better than they have raced. He would probably have won in a Ferrari or a Renault.

Possibly, but I doubt that given identical cars; that Button would finish better than 10th place overall against the current crop of F1 drivers. Coulthard and Villeneuve, the back markers would tan his backside in like for like cars.....
