I would say so but I did fuel up there last wednesday and topped up for the saturday cruise over at erith so it might have gone up since then. I don't really like going to the one in welling, I'm very tedious about warming my engine up and I have to drive up a fat hill from cold if I go over welling so i prefer to go erith

I'd come out for a cruise, been ages since I've been out for a drive for the heck of it! However I'm reigning in the funds this month so that I'm not quite so broke in Feb, a work bud has kindly lent me the complete series of the Long Way Round, episodes are 45 minutes each so a few per evening seem to see me to 9pm.

It's going to be some time before I go on another cruise, I need more Powwwaa! and petrol prices just keep climbing it seems, until the next cruise my motor wont see over 2.5k revvs even on motorway

Im going to play tactical ops now - it's a bit retro but its so kewl (it's free!)

if anyone plays im on the monster server

i used to go over lakeside in my scooby. down the strip etc? cant be arsed now tho, after that nobber crashed and flipped his celica into some fellas polo and the attitude over there, id rather stay in doors with the missis.

who do you know round here then? josh p, Fab, lewis and all that lot? they still do the lakeside thing. im old and boring now! lol

Not sure I recognise them but I normally join a few scoobys and evos in the area on the cruise, you might know Jason F, he had a silver hawk eye wrx with alot of graphics that got vandalised and now he's got a blue wrx running prodrive, he normally brings a couple of his mates who I've spoken to but never really caught their names, one drives a black sti and the other another blue wrx. They live in Thamesmead and Erith so you might not have seen them about. You've more than likely seen my cousin though as he lives in welling, grey evo 8 fq320 mr edition with carbon fibre bonnet and splitters or one of my other mates cars, yellow evo 9 with the graphics or silver evo fq400

I wouldn't worry about feeling old though, my cousin has his evo on piston heads now because hes looking for something more... comfortable [brick]

and while we were there on the weekend the only one of us that went on the strip was my cousin and that was only because my little brother never sat in a evo before, we normally just keep to our convoy anyway when we're there, if we get a large enough convoy we normally only stay lakeside for an hour at most before we head off to southend, get slightly better cars there.

It's a bad angle but you might recognise some of the scooby lot in the pic, they're all from thamesmead/erith

ahh cool.. na i dont know any of those names. i know people by cars really. i was thinking of trting to organise a little meet up morrisons underground at sidcup. its all enclosed so even if its windy as, it will be quite warm. dont know where to start tho.

Not sure about the black sti, I presumed he lives in erith because he always insists on us meeting him at some pub in erith when we all meet up outside the shell in erith which is only down the road. It would be nice to go on another cruise, I might have some more pictures from our convoy from previous cruise (not taken by me - I dont have enough cash to sustain 2 hobbies at the minute) I'll see if I can dig some up.

But the pic of the second evo is only running 400bhp which is enough for cruising.

The silver evo is his mate's he handed it over to dynotech's evo specialist team and he's running it in at the moment so it's set on low boost (420bhp at 4 all wheels), stroked and fully forged block with an AMS gt35r turbo kit with titanium springs, keepers, larger valves, lifters everything was done then ported and polished. Big boy power once it's all run in

I wouldn't really know, I say I drove it but I never went past 25mph I was crapping myself with the possibility of wrapping it around a tree and I was driving it around town so I never knew whether I would fit through all the roads with the pedestrian island in the middle. I've never driven a car and thought about the width of a car so much before, but that lambo was unnecessarily wide I think he was saying it's about 355mm wide each tyre and paid several thousand per tyre.

It was a hollow experience though, I mean it's great but like jeremy clarkson drove the veyron, I know Im never going to own one, not unless I win the lottery, which is impossible because I don't play. [:p]

For me though skylines and evos appeal more... partly because it's more down to earth lol

You know it makes sense! I would have thought insurance would be alright for you, my cousin bought his evo on his 24th birthday and paid quite a bit for insurance but he's now 28 and over the years hes stopped complaining about insurance

Back to the skyline! heavy as hell and I personally think the 4wd isnt as good as the evo even with skylab torque splitter. But my god it has road presence! If it was me though, I would go for the r32 as I cant afford the price of a r34 and the r32 is the lightest chasis. Plus you can pop the fuse out in the engine bay or wire a switch to it and run in rwd whereas you can't do that in the 33 or 34 heres a few pics of a r34 v spec 2 edition we saw at the cruise - he wasn't with us we just saw him there and started chatting but apparently he's from around our area even though I've never seen a r34 here

LOL at that guy's face! No it's not a dream it is a genuine v-spec 2

We did ask him to pop the bonnet but no pics of that, but it was one of the cleanest examples of a v-spec 2 I've ever seen, the last inline 6 in a GTR

It was pushing 600bhp but was very quiet and civilised until he booted it past 7000rpm my you go weak at the knees
