Anyone got these on?? I've been wanting to put these bora vents on my car for some time now, any idea what's their part number and price?? finally are they a direct replacement or not?

Those are in fact R32 vents, they look the same but the difference is that the Bora vents are illuminated whereas the R32 vents are not.

They are a direct fit and cost in the region of £85 for the set.

The white bits on the controls illuminate red the same as other switches.

I did a group buy on these a little while back - they were £85 ish delivered for the 5-part kit.

The illuminated bits are the little pictures and the 0.

The vents themselves are a direct fit but obviously you would have to wire up the LED's to a suitable power source.

If you search through the forum you will come across numerous guides detailing install.

cheers gary, one other q, why are there 5 sets of numbers?? do they come up to 5 items all together?

The first 3 numbers are the 3 vents and the last two are surrounds (only 2 of the vents need them).

I took the part numbers out of a Bora Vents thread, somebody used those five numbers to order theirs from a recent GB organised by Foxy.

Gary, i just got back from VW, ordered the first 4 items but apparently the number for the last one is incorrect. I'm guessing its meant to end with '87A' instead of '97A'... what do u think?

urgent help... i can't find the part number for one of the bora vent surrouns... can someone help?

this i've ordered: 1J2819186A

and this apparently is incorrect: 1J2819197A and so is 1J2819187A (replacing the 197A with 187A)

(as a note, the 3 vents i've also ordered, no problem there, part numbers 1J2819704E2AQ, 1J2819703E2AQ, 1J0819728E2AQ)

Just ordered the final part (central surround)... looked at the diagram with the dealers and its part number is

1J0 819 197 A (note the bits in Bold)...

all in all it cost me exactly ?55.05, which is cheaper than some of the quoted prices i've read.
