Trying to hunt one of these down for Track Bora but since they've been discontinued they're like hens teeth!

Does anyone know of any stocks floating about? Or have one fitted to their Bora and fancy a change.... (eye eye, nudge nudge, wink wink.... say no more mums the word)

There's also this Polo GTI style grill which is an alternative - but no idea on price and would probably need to order 100

Well.... the Kamei Grills are proper Hens Teeth, any still knocking about are either fitted or languishing in the back of a stock room somewhere out there. So, safe to say we can give up on that front.

There are alternatives but as with Kamei it's debatable if they're still in production or if any stock exists. These are some of the ones I've found:

http://www.madmotors.co.uk/auto-style-volkswagen-bora-99-05.html

And this rather interesting FK item, which I'm pretty sure isn't made any longer - it's certainly not listed on the FK website.

Hopefully that'll help someone out.

order it from the netherlands.. the company you want is called NL power website http://www.nlpower.com don't know the price but they where vw specialists from the start until the honda scene kicked of over there ( thank the fast and the furious for that) but they deliver al sorts of stuff that is hard to find...

by the way you can weld one yourself it is only a metal frame with spot welded race mesh connected to a metal plate that is pop riveted to the oem grill connection. I know I had one on my mk3 and still regret buying the original... after a little bump the front was smashed so I made a new one my self than bought the grill logo didn't cost more than 15 quid in material and paint to finish it off. The original is powder coated... but if you use a spraycan hamerite satin black it looks genuine. up to you but that is how the thing is put together and deffo not worth the money they ask for it

Cheers I've emailed them - will see what they say!

Have considered knocking one up myself but thought I'd give trying to buy one a go first.

Ok just had a phonecall ony lunchbreak from a guy who apparently imports those grilles (he was given my number by the Chinese contact)

He has basically said he is willing to send me out a grille to test fit and if I am happy with it then he will let us run a group buy on here. He doesnt want to take individual orders as he said he is too busy (apparently does alot of stuff with Audi grilles already and its not going to be a "big" order)

Once I know more and have received/fitted everything ill report back and get some prices.

Ok well thats fine, if anyone is interested they can just put their name down on this thread and once I have all the info, pics and prices etc we can start a proper group buy thread (assuming all goes well).
