Bora Highline 130 bhp td

The badge will have been fitted by the dealer and provides little practical evidence of the engine code. (There are many threads here regarding all red and partially red TDI badges...)

The correct and easy method of determining the engine (and many other components) fitted to the vehile is to look for the large white sticker in the boot. Lift the boot carpet and you'll find the sticker to the left of the spare wheel well. The engine code and output (in KW: the PD130 is 96KW) will be plain to see.

Thanks for that.....I just thought all the 130bhp ones had a silver T and red DI...is deffo a 130bhp model, just didnt know if it maybe meant been in a bump, and wrong badge replaced....

The power delivery can take a bit of getting used to - it is a bit all or nothing at lower revs and drops off almost as quickly at higher revs but it is easy to adapt your driving style to get the most out the engine, both in terms of power and in economy.

I've had my PD130 for six years now and I still enjoy the ability to overtake quickly and safely by using that tidal wave of torque. The 55+mpg on long runs is very nice too []

Took it a long run, my mates the salesman in the vw garage......so let me take it out for ages.....He took the car in on a part ex, just got speaking to the owner when he was in for major service and mot......and sold him a new Jetta.....So got Timing belt, new rear discs, service and years mot.....really tempted...Just not going to look at any problem threads on the forums.....in case i scare myself of it...

Correct! The Bora badges were true. Dealers messed around with the Golf badges coming up with all sorts of concoctions!
