Going on the VW paint chart it's hard to tell. Probably a metallic, I'd guess Shadow Blue maybe though looks lighter so could very well be wrong.

Not that easy to tell. Could be Laser or Shadow Blue.

Have a look at Blue Graphite - really classy colour that and not many about.

Looks Shadow Blue to me.

Did anyone read the what car review?

Quote..... "Buying & owning
Buying & owning rating - 4 out of 5

No hot hatch will hold its value better"

Yeah right it's not.

DervBurner, I think you might have read that wrong, I did too, but I think it's saying that no other hot hatch would have better residuals, rather than "it's not a hot hatch".

You follow, or am I talking rubbish?

Looks like Shadow Blue, as others have said, but I've been told that Deep Blue Pearl is now being made available in the Golf lineup (including the GTI).

As others have said it is shadow blue. I pick up my shadow blue Gti next Wednesday. Just makes me realise how bad the colour sample reproductions are on the VW website.

Thanks for all your replies. I couldn't quite imagine what the colour would look like on the car from the configurator on the vw website, but I think it looks great in those pics.

Cheers, Tim.

theres a guy with a RHD imported Deep Blue Pearl GTI.
Apparently it's possible to order it on the continent - at 400Euros

There are pics of his car on Tyresmoke.net

Seems like u can pick ANY vw colour u want and pay 400 Euros.
Waiting times might be a bit longer I guess, but it's certainly
something worth doing if you're spending ?20k on a car

Very nice indeed. That DBP does look very similar to Laser, just a
more... errr... "solid" blue is only way to describe it, if that makes
any sense. I understand EuroCanterbury have just taken reception of
one, think I'll wonder over and have a look.

This is the car and very nice it is too, alright for ?400 eh?!

[:)]
That would be my car then. :)

I made enquiries for DBP after I saw it on an R32 and loved the colour. Originally I wanted something different to Steel Grey of my previous MKV and wanted Laser Blue, but they discontinued that before I ordered.

I'll hopefully have some better pics this weekend, not had chance so far due to being busy driving her, 600 miles in the 6 days since collection :)
