Im using a Green Cotton Ducting - G80TW.

You must have dried that quickly, give the missus her hairdryer back!!

It was always my intention to clean my 18month old filter which is why I asked Bill for cleaning advice.
Anyway, my Green element is currently sat in what can now not be called a clean white bath, I can't believe the dirt that's coming off!!

I'm in so much trouble if the bath doesn't end up the way it was at the start of the day[:'(]

Did yours hold so much dirt?
I've just done exactly the same with mine, warm water and Daz washing powder [:$]

I dropped the filter in, agitated it for a while and the water has gone completely black!

Cant believe we are washing air filters on Christmas day lol [:D]

Gary, I still have some of the 75mm rubber ducting I used for mine - I can bring you a metre length to the Awesome RR day if you want?

It's really good quality stuff, no problems with rust either.

Must be availiable elsewhere. I used some of a similar, if not the same diameter to feed the filter box for my Twin 45's on the Capri track car.

Tried Screwfix and places like that?

i havnt used any oil, am i ok!?!?!? i dont want to damage the car
I really wouldn't like to say, they're oiled to stop very fine particles of dust entering the intake.

I would personally make it a priority to source some, possibly try Halfords?

Generic filter oil should be fine but go easy with it.
