Hi,

Popped into Whites in Camberley yesterday, they had a 5 door mk5 in black with leather. Have to admit in the flesh it did look nice, the interior looked nice as well, I am booked in for a test drive next week, lets just hope I dont like it!!! [:D]

BTW the black one they had was sold, anyone on here??

Just had another drive after i put my deposit down. Wow! Took a roundabout way too quick in the wet and skidded nicely (obviously no-one else was around the roundabout at the time). What amazed me was that the average mpg for the test car was 25mpg. That seems really good for a test car and 35 does seem achievable when required. Superb [:D]

Theres a sold, flat black 3dr, with leather in my local showroom too. Has been there for about 2 weeks now- why hasn't someone picked it up?!

Probably because it is a showroom car and not for sale at present.

Also, people may want to spec their own.

No, I mean it's sold. It was locked and when I asked to have a look inside the salesman said "that ones been sold already".

It belongs to someone- if it was mine I'd be banging on the showroom door the morning it was ready!

oh yes it does [:D] (no massive door for me - need to nick a disabled space to open the door wide enough!)

Lose some weight chubby and then you won't need to open the door so wide [B)][:p][:D]

Saw both 5 door and 3 door GTi together at the stealers this week and the 5 door just looks better balanced, the rear window on the three door is just too small, plus the seatbelt mountings are too far back on the three door (and I have joung kids so a 3 door is a no brainer)
