Ok, the question I've noticed that is often asked,

"whats the best products to use on black"

Well I thought I'd offer some pics of the products & results I've had over the past 18mths.

These materials are also good for other dark paint colours.[:)]

Shame there is not so much sunlight on the last pic!

- very impressive and different types of finishes.

So out of choice, what combo would you go for?

with the clearkote cab wax, did you use the hand glaze before it ?

So out of choice, what combo would you go for? either # 2 or 3, both are good for me, the megs GC is a bit of hard work, from what I can remember

with the clearkote cab wax, did you use the hand glaze before it ? Of course [^]

Its quite hard to tell if the clearkote is any better than the Pinnicle due to the amount of pinnicle already applied.

I'll send you a pic of the corsa & you can judge for yourself, thats had never been detailed before yesterday[:I] since she bought it, & its a 53plate[V]

Yea as oxo cube [:D] says, hand glaze is good, so is P21S Pre paint cleanser.

The last pics I used Megs NXT Glass cleaner, Its available in the uk from next month I believe, I got mine from the states, M&D just returned from their hols, dads more in to his detailing than me [:I][:O] & picked it up for me, along with some NXT Tyre shine [^]

Thnaks for your kind remarks.

The megs 3 stage is quite a good place to start from, also their scratch-x is very good to for removing small marks.

Instead of the 3rd stage though I suggest using Megs NXT, you could go for the Cannuba wax, like P21S Or the Clearkote, but the cannuba doesnt last that long, so unless your a weekly waxing freek like myself & oxford I'd just go the NXT route.

You might want to get a clay bar kit too if its not been done before, this will really smooth out the paint

Take a look on www.seriousperformance.co.uk for the materials & also the applicators/cloths , you 'll also get 10% off the total price being a ukmk4 member.[:D]

Hope this is of some help, over to you ox [:D]

All covered there mate!

Consider the SSR2 or the megs scratch x as mentioned.

If your planning on spending a lot of time waxing her up then really go down the clay bar route (do this once every 3 months or so) and you will get much better result.

You will get great results from all these products (as indicated above). So just get what you like! [:)]

Have fun!

So if I get the nxt - which I have heard off before aswell, and will go for this one instead of the 3 stage one, do I still need the cannuba - Im a bit of a perfectionist and dont mind spending time on my Golf getting it to look sweet - I probably look to polish/wax my car every 3 months - you say cannuba does not last that long - so if I was to polish the car every 3 months with nxt would it be good practice to cannunba it on a monthly or month and a half basis to keep it looking good???

by the way appreciate the advice guys [:D]

I gotta admit - black golfs look the bizz - though i am biased!![;)]
