Hi, my old mk4 needs discs as they're so damn wrecked they're no longer discs and really struggles to stop + fluctuations in the pedal. So I'm gunna be buying discs and pads for all 4 corners, I don't want to spend too much on example brembo discs and pads but don't want cheap rubbish that will be due for changing again in 6 months 😂 any thoughts/ recommendations?

Even the cheapest stuff sold at ECP lasts years providing you don't ride the brakes and bed them in properly. And if you buy online every so many months the brembo stuff is on sale with a proper discount at 50% either ECP or GSF

Avoid Pagid, their brakes have become really noisy of late. Bimbos are good though if you get a good discount code on ECP/GSF.

it's why i poited to the mostly available on discount Brembo's... the Pagid stuff is pants because of the noise but provided they are broken in properly they don't make that horrible squeaky noise... but you can get better quality for less money.. all depends on how much in a hurry you are. and if you want standard or upgraded disks and pads.

but i won' be putting up links, this is the part where i think that the OP should do some comparing himself... not just ask for what is best at a budget as we don't know the budget.
