Looks mint mate.. how comes the change though from the GTI?? Sat [y]
I'll be honest Sat, just fancied a change mate and have always wanted one of these so decided to go for it! [:D]

The GTI was and is a truly fantastic car and is definately more driver focused than the A3 but i've always preffered the look of the A3 over the GTI (only in s-Line trim though to be fair) and fancied a little more luxury and a few more 'toys' than the GTI had and this one fitted the bill....

Really really pleased with it! [:D]

Glad your happy mate.. i'd love to buy one in the future once they've dropped in price lol.. as i have to agree the front of the A3 s-lines look so menacing much more in your face than the gti to me.. [y]

It must be something in the water up here, everyones getting one, looks great though.

Hows it drive compaired to gti?

greg
Hiya Greg,

Yeah, there getting to be the car of choice 'oop north' lol! [;)]

Drives great, ride and handling seem to be right up there with the GTI, although ultimately the GTI does have that extra bit in reserve and has a nicer 'weight' to the steering and would ultimately be the better handling car on a 'twisties attack', but the A3 is more than capable and comes with the Beddie 'Cat and Fiddle run' seal of approval! [:D]

Performance is obviously down on the GTI but far less than the paper statistics would have you believe, once up and running i've not been dissapointed with the performance one bit and the torque shove makes it 'feel' faster somehow....

Looking forward to the next Horseshoe pass run already...
