Just back from the UK after travelling all night with very little sleep[xx(]

anyway i got the Phase 3 done to my PD130 and im very very happy with it[:D], the pull is amazing( even though my clutch is slipping like mad but will be sorted soon)if you dont look at the speedo you are in triple figures before you know it and after the 100mph it doesnt seem to lose puff at all!

the service was very good, they even rang me every so often to let me know how they were progressing and they even washed my car.

What did you get done exactly Micky?

a hybrid turbo( VNT 20 compressor side and VNT 17 exhaust side) a large FMIC with all the hoses and they modded intake, and their remapp to suit the mods.

wont really have full benefit until the upgraded clutch comes next week.

and customer services are 100%[^] very pleased. i think they do normal remapps for superchips too.

This sounds super Micky! What sort of torque does this produce then? I asume its 330lb/ft + if the clutch is slipping.

So how much was that upgrade micky..... got me thinking very hard now mate. Any links to the info etc of the products?

PM me please if you dont want to talk money.

1. Micky was dynoes @ 334lb/ft a while back and that didn't produce clutch slip. However this must now be over 300lb/ft proper!

2. I am getting plenty of clutch slip with 283lb/ft.

3. Micky and I have the uprated Sachs clutch on back order. Bring it on!

4. http://www.allardmotorcompany.com/index.shtml give them a call and get the brochure and price list - theres a lot to take in that couldn't be summarised quickly. NikB and I went over there last week.[^]

Was the turbo done on an exchange basis? Did they do the job in one day? How does the turbo sound spooling up, bet it's amazing! I haven't experienced clutch slippage at all with 288lbs/ft. My guess is you will probably have 310-320 lbs/ft.

I'm going for the turbo dynamics stage 2 rebuild and that clutch kit too when funds allow.

i think he said around 330lb ft, there is a different sound alright because of the alu pipework you can here a little more whoosing, to be honst didnt even ask for the old bits back but i think turbo maybe exchange.

the hybrid thats fitted to mine is the normal VNT17 exhaust side and VNT20 compressor side thats fitted to the 2.5 tdis.

took them 2 days to complete work

JUst off the phone to them.... for me on the 150 he said no need for the bigger IC really so i'd get

-turbo

-exhaust

-inlet manifold

-induction kit CAI

-software to suit the above

-uprated clutch plate

and expect 220+ HP and about 330 ish lb/ft.... in a recent review it apparently beata tuned 1.8t. Assume this is only a chipped petrol tho, cos im sure it would loose out up the very top. Non the less i bet the DERVSTER still returns 35+ mpg with that power... NICE!

?2k ish fitted (+vat tho [:(]).... if that had been ?2k all in I think I'd be doing it. I have nearly 2k to play with BUT cant justify an extra ?500 ish over it.... Really dont know what to do???

180 from a chip seems a waste now?

I really doubt it cos I don't think this is a big thing for them. And if I was getting it done I'd want the injectors too or it isn't really worth it. They will add around ?1500 to the bill.

Glad you like it Micky. Would be good to see what it will do on the 1/4 mile or round a track. Are you going to get a LSD fitted too? That would really be worthwhile.

i didnt go for injectors as i do a very high mileage and i was keeping longevity in mind and for me now its quick enough.

ive noticed up top is very good too 100+, at 100 if i floor it you can just feel it pull and pull, anyway 0-100 is where it really counts.

on my way home with all the motorway driving with a bit of mixture driving with lots of sprints etc i got average speed on trip 70mph and my fuel economy was 46.8mph which was amazing for the grunt i have, it hardly effects economy which is amazing.

want to get my clutch fitted anyway before i think of the LSD etc.

My dilemma is that for a sizeable outlay I don't want to accept the 215-220bhp ceiling imposed by the injectors, and I don't have the budget now to go beyond say ?2k and effectively double the budget just for some injectors. After all, I already have 190-195bhp. Allard hinted that injectors may be coming down significantly in price soon as the company responsible is gearing up for full production to meet demand.

I'm going to do more research and give this more thought - sorry but I'm not up for a GB right now.
