and a heayier foot around 240 [:$]Same for me... with a lighter right foot i hit 300 tho, which isn't bad really.
You have a 150 tho [27-35mpg for me, seems to jump up and down!
That is an excellent point [:O]You have a 150 tho [27-35mpg for me, seems to jump up and down!]
Also, mine seems to have improved quite a lot since ive hit 20000 miles..... car feels like its loosened up a lot since i bought it with 13k on it. On journeys where i'd constantly get 23-25mpg i now get 27-32mpg... itll do me!
Yeah i wish i had 180bhp.......sobsMake a difference to the fuel consumption?
Nah, not really... i had a 150 AGU Golf and now that the Leon has loosened up its within a couple of what i got in the GTI. The 6-spd box helps it i think too... and besides, its well worth it for the extra 30 ponies []
Glad your liking your new car mate, and i couldn't agree more on the golf not looking sportier, IMHO i think all the V5s/V6s/1.8Ts should have come like all the annis did [Well i bought it for a number of reasons... it looks much sportier than the Golf does, some people prefer the Golf like that but i didnt, it needed too much money splashed on it to look special. With the exception of new wheels im very very happy with the Leon.
It also handles much better than the equivalent Golf.... still under-damped as all of the FWD MKIV chassis cars are, but a marked improvement.
The whole package did it for me, looks, handling, pace... and something that you dont see many of, i can count only another half dozen in 8 months of ownership!
Only slight downside is the fact that it feels at times like its cheaper built..... the amount of rattles i have at the rear of the car for example is beyond the bloody joke.
