Thinking about it, I don't think the engine would even fit in the bay - you might have enough room if you moved the radiators and had the bumper protruding a little?!

Now if you had a passat, it would fit in without a problem!

Jubbly are you talking about swapping the engine or selling the golf and buying an S4 ?

If the first then TSR seem to be able to fit a variation of this engine into a Bora so i recon it can be done....Will set you back ?11160 tho.

Seen one fitted into an s3 so i think it will be poss.[:D]

Definitely possible. As Mo said one has been fitted to an S3. It might even have been Dubsport.

It was mtm and it's for sale only ?39,500 it has about 450bhp though [:O]

The S4 Biturbo is a fantastic car, and great value for money at the mo.

The engine is the BEST that VAG have ever developed, bar the RS4 version.

Its smooth, sounds lovely, is reliable, and is so tunable.

The build quality of the Audi is far superior to your current Golf.

Door shuts, wind noise, sound proofing etc is much better.

And remember, you get a hec a lot more for your money too, with xenons, lighting pack and

proper 4wd Quatt.

Spend 500 quid for a remap up to 320bhp, and around 4k for a RS4 turbo kit for around 400bhp.

The RS4 version of the 2.7 Biturbo has been tuned by Cosworth, larger flowing K04's, bigger inlet and outlet ports, strengthened bottom end.

That W reg in Azure Blue looks nice - however, no Roof, no Nav, no electric Recaros, no winter pack.

Prices have dropped now so you can get more of a bargain, with more spec.

Remember to buy as late as possible, pref 2000 onwards which was the facelift year.

2001 cars had revised hosing and oil lines for the turbos.
