Arb rubbing driveshafts.

Hi All

Not been on here in a while ....as not been using the car much.

Well last year I fitted upgraded induction pipes to my PD150 and had to raise the engine with spacers .

The car is 40mm lower with KW upgrade arb on front ...but noticed that it had been rubbing the driveshaft ...not much ...so I got some adjustable drop links which did not make much difference....if extend the drop links then rub worse....if shorten them then they are lot better ...but still rub a bit.

I heard that I need to shorted the drop links to allow hoop on arb to sit a bit further forward as the more you extend the drop links ...the closer they get to the front of driveshaft.

Is it worth shorting these adjust drops ...can easily be done ....or is it better to fit a different arb that fits under driveshaft ?

If so ...which arb ? R32 ?

Will it still fit to original bottoms arms with the drop links I have or do I need to change more ?

Any help most appreciated

Karl

Hi Karl
I'm sure I have read somewhere that the TT arbs fit a treat under the shaft

Hi.

You can use one from 4motion version. And you have to add spacers for drop link.

Or you can use 4motion drop link but you also have to add mount to your shock absorber.
