Looks great, any plans on changing the rear lights or are they staying?

I dont know about the rear lights as of yet as I don't really know if
the RCCR's are the way to go with the silver, I like the RBBR's like
the ones Sem has got on his anni. But I really have to change the rear
badge now so which one did you have again. [:D]

Looks good mate,i am currently having a dilema about an Anni rear valance,as i just don't think they look THAT much different to a standard one colour coded, and at ?145 plus postage, they are a bit steep.

Do you think they look that much different,as you have had both, and in silver, which is the same colour as mine?

That looks fantastic mate and the colour match is pretty much spot on!

Credit where credit is due.....I wouldn't even attempt to spray any bodykit parts for my car, the most i've ever done is a delocking cap and a rear badge! You seem to have mastered the art of spraying though [Y]

In the flesh it looks a lot more better but it totally depends on what
kind of look your trying to create. So if your trying to do a euro look
stick with the standard valance and have it plastic welded to the
bumper and bobs ya uncle but if you want to go for the oem look and
still look mean go for an anni or R32 kit which ever takes your fancy..

I have the Sharan badge, IMO looks much better than the stock frisbee style badge.
Have you got a pic mate as I may just go buy one tommorow and also have you got the part number?? Thanks in advance Sonny [y]

Thanks for the comment sem, and ye I think i may have just cracked the
art of spraying, I cant believe the finish I got with just halfords
spray cans, [] The best tip I can give anyone is have a steady hand
and dry inbetween coats and also if spraying mettalic only spray in one
continous direction as if you dont you can see it in the paint. Also
for drying use a heat gun as this hardens the paint within 10 mins and
I tested how hard it was by chucking it about in the garage just to
make sure.

Sharan Badge

Close up Passat Badge

The close up is actually of a Passat badge but they are exactly the
same size and style apart from the Sharan badge is much flatter and
fits the boot contours a lot better than the Passat badge does as the
picture shows below

Looks good mate, Always thought the Anni kit looks good in silver.

How difficult is it to remove the valences? I've got a couple of weeks off work and was going to do some side skirts, but that's out the window !! another story.

So I think I'll do the valences with the paint I also bought from Halfords, I have used it before and it is all in the prep and sanding between coats of primer and topcoats, IMO, the paint cans are excellent. Did you use rubbing compound and wax, this will really finish off the job and bring it up like glass ?? The rubbing compound will take a very slight layer of paint/laquer off, so go gently, then wax up to a high gloss finish !!

Apologies though, if I am teaching you to suck eggs !!! As the job looks excellent !!

No problems mate. It took me all in all 5 mins to replace the rear
valance and fit the anni one. Theres four bolts on the rear one theres
two underneath and one on each side in the rear arches.

I never used rubbing compund or the wax just two cans of light
layers of laquer and the job was spot on, I used a hot air gun which
made the paint dry very quick and the laquer cam vey shiny also.

I will be waxing it tommorow probably as I couldn't be asrsed to do it today.

I see the dilemma you're having and it's a tough one, but to be honest i'd debadge it. Having said that though, mine would probably look better debadged aswell but can't bring myself to do it as i think the GTi Turbo badges give it that edge! [:)]

See mate your in the same boat as me now, I think id debadge it if i
went with the smooth boot i.e. no centre VW badge, otherwise just keep
it. Also I'm planning to copy you now and flush my bumpers myself. [y]
