Hi guys,

Great site loads of info! Just purchased a Black Anni Pd from the stealers, and can't wait to pick it up next weekend.

the PD replaces a chipped S3 that I recently sold, I wanted something just as smart and fun, but with lower running costs. I think i chose well?

maybe get it chipped soon, but need to do some research on here first, to decide on the tuner.

Cheers,

Chris.

S3 was getting a bit expensive when you started to put miles on it. Also started to look at further mods as got used to the power, but the next level up was an arm and a leg! (bigger turbo) In the end thought I'd have a change.

The Revo chip looks promising, but I guess I am looking at ?499 + VAT + SPS1 to make it switchable. (Therefore ?650 +VAT!!!!!) Any decent discounts on offer anywhere???

Cheers,

Chris.

Welcome Chris. Nice choice; I have a black PD150 too and did quite a few mods immediately after I got it[B)].

A good mate has an S3 running 265bhp from a straight remap, and whilst its a very nice car I don't covet it. So I reckon you'll be very happy, although you'll probably mod more than just the remap as the addiction bites.

Most people will tell you to go for Revo, they seem to be the most popular choice here. I have Superchips and am chuffed with their efforts.

Knew it wouldn't take Cat long to pull you up about your name[;)]

Thanks for the responses guys.

Fancy a nice lowering kit also, maybe a -30mm drop kit. Does this cause any majors with the suspension geometry, or is it ok?

Anyone recommend any good setups?

Thanks,

Well yes I could recommend what I have done as a very good compromise;

Eibach Pro Kit -30mm springs - ?100-ish

Koni Sport (yellow) adjustable dampers (I set them halfway) - ?390

Powerflex PU bushes - ?130-ish incl steering rack mount

H&R anti roll bar kit (front and rear)

The car is not much lower than OEM visually, but handles much better - its more composed over bumps and steady/flat in the corners. I use it for lots of business miles, family stuff with baby, and the occasional track day and it copes with all that.

If you want to go lower, then NikB's car with its H&R coilovers would the tried and tested route. You would need the ARBs and benefit from the bushes IMO.

PM me with an email addy if you want pics.

Welcome to the forum. As James says I have H&R coilovers but only a rear anti roll bar (soon to be front as well). I haven't gone that low with the H&R's, probably between 30-40mm. I will probably be getting the Powerflex steering rack mount bushes too when I get the front ARB but am not getting the full kit.
