Came back to the multi storey from shopping in Manchester this afternoon to find my nearside headlamp smashed to bits. It looks like it took a single point blow. I don't recall anything hitting the car so I guess it could be malicious damage in the car park itself. Good old ncp for you (and 60p per 15mins).

So is it possible to replace the glass or is it the whole unit and where is the cheapest place to get them? I have looked on vag parts and they only list them in pairs, can they sell them individually?

Cheers

Good old NCP ah??!! 60p/15mins and a broken headlight to boot..!

New glass I think is possible but only doing it Jimmy's (GolfV5) way as in splitting the unit and in your case taking off the brocken glass and then re-sealing etc. with new glass

Cheers

Can you get the anni ones without the fogs?

Yep Nick you can.

I bought 2 for my car. takes about 15 mins to remove the fog from your old one and replace it in the new light. Then about another 10 to put all the bulbs in and reattach the loom (from the old light).

List is about ?85 including the vat from memory. I asked for discount and got one for inder ?70 including vat.

If you have any trouble sourcing one let me know and I'll get my local dealer to get another one in. Vag parts may be cheaper though.

If it can wait untill tomorrow, I can get the part numbers off the boxes in my garage.

The last 7 might be an 8 though.

It is a cheap way to get anni headlights, and if you are able to take your bumper off then the loom and foglight will be no problem for you.

Thanks John, appreciate it, I assume that was from the dealers that you got that deal? Also with regard to asking for discount did you just ask for a discount or say you were a member of the forum? Cheers
