Ianhg states that AMD Oneclick was responsible for killing his ECU which in the end needed replacing.

I would read up thouroughly if I were you and also look at the other alternatives, Revo being on of them.

I had OneClick on my Anni for 6 months(thereabouts) and have no complaints as to it's operation or benefits. AmD reckon they would get at least 180BHP from a 150 and it's possible to stretch to 195BHP (given the right conditions) Only problems I encountered were it found a leak in my turbo>intercooler pipe (replaced under VW warranty) and a mildly slipping clutch(solved with this forum)..

You shouldn't regret it although I am aware of Ianhg's quandry..

I aim this at nobody on this forum but some folk are quick to remember the bad points and forget the good...

I've heard DMS have now taken on the development of the One Click and are on V2. Anyone running one?

I am. The 'Dual System' AFAIK???

Jim from Star put a 'safe' map on cos the 130's turbo's aren't all they should be... RR figures put it at 170 bhp and 275 lb ft.

I have to say, i like it. It didn't seem all that great at first, but having driven it for about 6 weeks (read: had a few razzles), i really like it!

Pulls harder in 3,4,5 & 6, although the gears of action, and where you will notice the difference, are 3rd (30-50 i'd say) and 4th (50-100)[:D][:D][:D]

A bit smokey sometimes (esp if you give it a sudden right foot) but not bad otherwise.

I got this system cos i thought i'd switching between me and the missus, but as it's turned out i haven't [:D], so i can't really comment on the changer thingy... yet.

(edit) - and the fuel economy is *about* the same (a couple opf mpg less, but that's more to do with heavier footware)

I had my PD130 One Clicked in March this year - Car was only just run in, and have done 20K since. For me, its been flipping marvelous. Still returns about 48-49mpg and it has some serious shove. More enjoyable and easier to drive quickly than my S3. Revs easily to 4.5K with no brick wall limiter. If I bought another PD I'd get it done again. But as with all things there is an element of risk you need to personally weigh up.

I had an AMD one click on my 03 reg Bora pd150. It killed the ECU. I had to get the ECU replace under warrenty.

I'll not be getting another one! Its not worth losing my car for another 8 weeks.

Myself and Ianhg got ours with the group buy so could be a faulty batch. to be fair AMD give me a full refund and where very helpful so cant fault the service just once bitten twice shy.

cheers

Have you swapped between the stock and modified program very often?

Not needed to. The car is fine in the performance mode, the dealer has no qualms servicing the car. The only scenario I can think of for reprogramming is when I come to sell it and the future owner wants the standard map.
