Hi,

Recently I hit a pot hole in the road and buckled my alloy wheel badly.

I finally found a garage that would repair it. They did warn me that the
alloy could crack as its being pressed back into shape. Below is the outcome

Before I put the wheel back on the car I just wanted to see if it was safe.
The garage have told me it is and they have pressed it back in far enough to
stop air from leaking.

If its good to go I was wanting to see what sealant you would recommend to
stop water/salt from getting into the crack and causing the alloy to erode.

Cheers

Woaaa [:O] No way! [:(] That's a right off fo sho. I'd be more concerned about air leaking out of the crack, but more to the point that's going to be one big bad weak spot now so it's only a matter of time before a bump or even some enthusiastic cornering causes it to let go. And if it happens it will be more spectacular than before!

I've welded alot of alloys when they've cracked but wouldn't touch that with a barge pole. That will just continue to crack until the spoke is no longer connected
