looking to get a dv26 on my agu 98 1.8T, i noticed some of you on here have it on yours, do you get any problems? does it increase lag or make the car any slower?
is it a case of just removing the old one and the vacuum hose on top of it as well? does the dump valve plug straight into the manifold (the vacuum hose)
i have a friend whos got a golf with a baileys dv26 and he says theres a delay when he lets off for the dump valve, it makes 2 shh noises then the tshhhhhhhhh.. ? quite fast but worried about it
it`ll run rich if you vent to the atmostphere. there`s a site that expains it. i`ll find it and let u know. get a cai and recirc dv and it`ll sound mint anyway
i have a 99 v reg 1.8t and i have both a CAI from awesome and a baileys dv26 from jabba sport..the old dump valve is plugged off and the new one goes at the front of the engine bay..both look and sound amazing ..i have no running problems at all.
thanks mark looks and sounds good, where abouts does your vaccuum pipe plug onto? i thought it went to the far right of the manifold on that little nipple underneath??
the pipe goes all the way to the back of the engine and plugs in somewhere! i didnt fit it i had it done {cause im lazy and plus id prob fit it wrong!!}
mark is there any chance u cud get a picture of where the vacuum pipe goes to?? my friends one sits on the far right of the manifold :s just want to make sure i get it right lol
