It's not the prettiest of welds, but I'll flap it back and tidy it up. It needed quite a kink to get it round. Had no response from the seller about it which is quite disappointing, so I've logged a PayPal dispute. I didn't have any cast ali to make up the gaps, so it needed quite a bit of filler.

This means the throttle body now clears - it's still mega tight against the headlight adjuster but I'll be able to shave it slightly if I need. I've got solid mounts so it won't move anyway.

Also polished off another famous Scottish drink:

Morgen was on the camera so actually got me working:

I mocked up the other section of charge pipework on the other side too:

And redid the inlet AGAIN. I've done this 3 times and never liked it each time. Tried facing the filter straight forward and much prefer it that way. I might bring it a little closer to the block today.

The turbo has no oil feed just now, but I wanted to see if it spins...

It's so revvy with the light flywheel (4kg). I can't wait!

you are getting there slowly but surely...

Yes the inlet will take a few goes before it's perfect, same with how you want the filter to sit... and talking about that filter... I would build a box around it with a cold air feed from the front... hell you can even cut a hole in the bumper and put a pipe with some mesh in it to get a nice ram induction from it... but if you want it to be a sleeper that will standout like a sore thumb... but judging by your rear spoiler choice... well I'd say, cut a hole! And build a sick ram induction kit yourself..

You'll thank yourself later as the v6 engines are like a furnace... once hot they'll keep the temps under the bonnet nice and toasty... and the colder the air the better it is...

Don't have time to read all i missed but it still doesn't run. So haven't missed anything i guess waste of my lunch
... talking about lunch, if you'd work on your car more and eat less, it'd be done.
Except it does start/run.

So because this is a 4motion there's just no space in the spare wheel well. I've already moved the battery, compressor, manifold, tank and two amps in there. It leaves very little space for a box. At the time, I made a box with the remaining space I had and figured I'd just throw my sub at it later.

Today, I took my sub down and it just doesn't fit. I contemplated mounting the sub upside down but it looked a bit crap so I decided to go back to the Max Power days. I actually kind of like it.

as long as you make sure it has an ample amount of internal cubic litres it'll sound good... I just buy standard sub enclosures now as i can't be arsed with all that work that comes with doing a fibre glass enclosure anymore... but i have to agree that it always looks way better when you build a nice fibre glass enclosure...

I was going to give you my 10" stealth sub enclosure, built for 4 motion...

...but having seen previous versions of your woofer / beer can storage arrangement, I didn't think you would like it!

Good progress - may have to finally make that pilgrimage to the shed - that is once we are allowed to travel again.

Would be good to see you again! I'm actually spending a huge portion of my time in Edinburgh just now we've got a project up in Bonaly/Colinton that's taking a huge portion of my days. I'm off Friday, so will hopefully get the enclosure complete and finish off the air!

That's pretty much what happened man. Got the rear subframe powdercoated, fresh bushes and put back in. Got 335mm rear brakes mocked up, calipers are away for coating.

Once they're fitted I'll throw some pictures up. Didn't realise people wanted updates! haha

Lol i've been keeping an eye out for the updates but remembered you was constantly at work during the Covid period so I thought let me ask if you ever got to finish it. But yeah chuck up some pics when you continue.

Rear brakes became 335mm Audi A8 rears. These are basically bolt on:
A6 C6 Rear Left Carrier 4F0 615 425 x1
A6 C6 Rear Right Carrier 4F0 615 426 x1
T5 Rear Left 7H0 615 423 x1
T5 Rear Right 7H0 615 424 x1
335mm Rear Discs Febi 36239 x1
Pads TRW GDB 1557 x1

Re-drilled the brake discs. The disc is centered on the hub, not the bolts (for all the people that think they're engineers):
