Probably an ABS sensor, get it plugged in tho, should have a fault code logged and go from there
Cheers mate, sounds like just snow in the abs ring to me
think its the sensor. mine broke and i had both the lights on. might just need to solder it back on
My abs and traction control light came on today is it jusy a dodgy sensor?
Same as mentioned above, get it scanned and find out which one it is.

I used this website, cheap, fast delivery and fixed the fault.

Thanks had a land rover disco andthe abs sensor was crap on them always used to pop out bring the light on
I just had my ABS light on as well!

Left rear wheel aBS sensor was found by vagcom.

Can I use carb cleaner to clear the thing out or find some contact cleaner?
I tried cleaning mine and it made no difference, new sensor only £10. The other thing is they don't come out easy at all, so your just as well replacing it once you get that far....
Check the loom for tears behind the passenger front wheel.
Also check the rings behind your wheel hubs for any damage or dirt

only £10? what make is it and where from?

Cheers
Guys,

would you trust a generic/aftermarket sensor? I mean abs itself might not be the best for braking but if braking force to each disk is not the same can be dangerous under gard braking.

Also, would it be better to change both the sensors at the same time?

Cheers
Aftermarket parts are ok. As a rule i always replace parts as pairs, cos it wll be your luck for the other to go the next week [^o)]

Unplug them smash them off then clean out the centers with some emery cloth or sandpaper then add a little grease in there & around the ABS sensor to ease the new ones in. Job done [Y]
Guys!!

Something I forgot to say. When the ABS light came on, at the same time i had one LED sidelight blown off. Do you think it is coincidence or that made the ABS gone.

Have you noticed something similar in your case, i.e. one electrical problem caused/related to something else?

Cheers
