Hi everyone, I've finally got round to fitting in my springs that i
baught off J111ASE. And they don't half look a treat as they are, cant
wait till they bed in a bit. The car handles a hell of a lot better,
I've thrown the car at a few obstacles lol, i.e. going round a round
about at 45-50mph [] it don't half grip well. Also I've noticed the
car has become more pokier, due to the stiffer springs. Anyway heres
some pics:

I'd think about replacing your shocks in the next 6 months or so otherwise you are going to damage your existing one and then the car [:'(]

the OEM shocks aint designed to take those springs, i think they can
handle Eibach springs -30mm but probably not a -50mm, i think thats
what he means...

the car handles beautifully now though, its not a bouncy ride either...around round abouts i was 'booting' in a sdi at about 40-45 and the car just gripped i remember before i had it fitted evern at 30-35 the car had alot or roll...love it...

Have to agree with above. The car is coming along in leaps and bounds. The way a Mk4 should subtle but plenty of mods for the keep VW'er

Just out of curiosity, how do you find the SDI engine?

I drive an SDI caddy van sometimes and it actually isn't too bad, obvioulsy not the quickest off the line, but I thought it would be slow at top speeds but that isnt true at all, can quite easily cruise up a hill at 80 I found.

Have you ever driven another golf to compare it with?

And I think your next mod should be an R32 steering wheel! You got one of those 4 spoke steering wheels I presume in there and not the leather?

The only car i can really compare it to is my mums 90bhp tdi, In first
gear it is sluggish i have to say in 2nd gear its ok, but in third
because its a diesel and its got some torque it does pull pretty well
all the way up to 60mph, Overall for my first car I'm very happy with
it. My mums car in first does pull away faster but obviously it has a
turbo.

As for mods to my car I think I'm finished apart from colour coding the
handles and side strips, I don't want to spend anymore money on the car
for now because I want to save up for an anni petrol or even a CTR.

LOL!!! In time to come I'll be flushing the rear badge section, Colour
coding as mentioned, and then some interior lighting mods. Then that
will be it. Don't want to spend too much money on the car as I'm going
to start saving for my anni. []

Unlucky mate, at least they've gone to a good home [] Also how come
you couldn't get on to your driveway with them fitted, I've been over a
lot of speed bumps and have had no scrapes as of yet.
