Hi guys,

I have a Golf mk4 GT TDI lowered 40mm and looking for some 17’ alloys. I’m thinking 17x8 front and 17x9 rear however if anyone can show me some examples, give advice and state the fitment to help out that would be awesome. Thanks in advance guys. Rob

I haven't got any examples, but take offset into account. An 8J wheel could still look too far in if the offset is too high.

Of course spacers are an option though, to push the wheel out.

Thank you for the reply, it’s so difficult to get right if you’re not an expert! I’m just going to have to follow somone else’s idea on this and find an example I think

speak to a wheel specialist they can tell you what to look for regarding the ET and J... but with 17 inch it shouldn't be a problem to find a set that sits nicely. if you look around for staggered fitment from 3DSM alloy wheels you'll soon see what would fit... check the details of a set that they say will fit with your desired 8- and 9J as that will be the same for every other set regardless of the brand.
