I love it Mike, especially in black but the interior is not supposed to be that great.
I say 'supposed to be' as I haven't seen it for myself.

Much better than I expected! Not VAG quality but not Playskool either;
and some real design to it. Only thing I didn't like were the door
cards, which are a huge expanse of nothingess, the rest of it was
perfectly ok IMO.

Its a VERY fast car and a joy to drive, the engine sounds fantastic
and is seriously loud! The gearbox is tight and precise, Brembos are
strong and the whole thing is very driver focused - a real muscle car really. The one I drove had
birds eye view satnav, Tracker, leather, rays alloys, climate, heated
seats, 6CD, Bose stereo...everything you could ask for really. Only downsides IMO were

- No back seats

- ?25k-?32k for a NISSAN

- When you think modifications, think NFSU2 and FATF - so have to leave it stock

But its a real piece of design, awesome to drive and something a bit
different with a real sense of occasion....Ive driven several 330Ci
Sports and an A4 3.0 Cabriolet this week and it was twice as much fun
as all of them put together. Bit difficult to spend that kind
of money on a Nissan though?

It'll be interesting to see the 350Z roadster when it comes out later this year.
You mean the one thats in my local dealers showroom for ?31,950? Didn't
like it myself, its huuuuuuuuuge and loooks ugly with the roof up -
just think it looks better as a coupe. Plenty of Coupes and Roadsters
about as imports though, its hard to find the UK cars when sifting
through 350Zs on Autotrader

Love em... as with Gary i've had no hands on experience with them, but they have massive road presence.

The noise is gorgeous... little this side of a Ferrari V8 beats it in modern car sounds IMO. Even when driving slow they sound sublime... i must confess to switching off the cd player, winding down the window just to listen to one blast off from traffic lights!

Mike, I think they are stunning cars!

Awesome engine, noise, power, RWD fun, sexy looks (in the
right colour), Interior actually not that bad, best to spec it up
and enjoy the luxury/toys :)

Definatly go for the Rays Alloys, they are a must for looks AND performance.

Haven't driven one before (I'd love to), but raced a few on the motorway, and boy do they sound good when gunning it :)

Are u thinking of parting with the Bora for one?!

Toying with the idea perhaps [:)]. ..

Whats the view on
imports? They start at
?16k, but is it a false economy? Anyone got any personal experience
with grey imports?

Genuinely like them alot ....... they sound like a proper car oughta sound.... awesome !

Grey import could be false economy.

Quite a few around now so second hand is an option.

Several 'niggly' interior bits have been ironed out on 2005+ models, so I read.

All-in-all a great car, and not so hard-planted to be a balls-out track car, because you wouldn't be able to live with that at all.

Really wasn't a fan of them, but had a good look around one last time I was down at JBS. Really really like them now. It's no normal Nissan thats for sure!

Brembos as well!

I can see why people like them, but they dont do much for me for some reason. If I was spending that much dosh on a performance/sports car, it would be on an Evo.

Don't be too snotty about Nissan. I have been using two Nissan's day-to-day for the past three months ([]).

The first was a Skyline R32 GTS 2.5T

The second is a Fairlady 300ZX T-bar NA auto.

Both are about 11-12 years old, below average mileage recent grey imports, well serviced in their homeland. The interiors are a bit plasticky but there are no squeaks or rattles at all. The chassis are like new, with no slack other than the 300ZX needs new shocks. Both have beefy 4-pots up front and 2-pots at the rear - not what you expect on an old motor. Gran Turismo stylee.[:D]

From my experience they are bullet proof. The 350Z is from the same bloodline. If I was buying one I would definitely be looking for some choice NISMO bits without going all NFSU.

why is it a problem paying 32k for a nissan, I would see it a bigger
problem paying that for a vdub...... at least nissan dont have a big
brother badge for there better cars (audi) dont forget the
treatment you get of the dealer will be an absolute revealation, as I
know you are used to VW and BMW dealers The Japs will show you how it
is really done, nevermind the warrantyy, VDUB wanted 900 quid to renew
the 4mos, haonda only wanted ?240 for my type r, BUY it they really do
make sense in all ways.

Outside my house is a nissan primera 2.0 estate it is the
business/family beater it has 160k on it it has less rattles on it than
mt 4mo, its clutch and suspesion are better than our kids 306 gti, and
EVERYTHING works on it which is more than I can say for my dads new jag

A local dealer had one a while back in that sort of bronze colour with matching interior. Stunning looking motor that sounds the business too. Haven't been lucky enough to get to drive one yet.
