Yep 312's fit behind le castellet wheels on the bora
...with the standard VW calipers?

where would one purchase the carriers you all speak of?

and whats the difference between vented + X-drilled discs?
Mine (shown in the picture above) are standard calipers, just red.

Vented have vents down the centre of the disc. Cross drilled have holes drilled (quelle surprise !) through at 90 degrees to the disc. Both are aimed at keeping the disc cool.

Otherwise OEMparts do a 312mm conversion kit for ?210 + VAT
Is this just for the carriers? As you can buy them from a main dealer for ?86+ Vat each.

The red Anniversary ones used to be really cheap, at about ?46 +Vat each, but they have now gone upto the same sort of price as the plain V5 ones, or the Silver painted TT ones.

Should be no problem at all. Check your existing disks are 288mm and that the carrier and calliper are seperate items and not part of the hub.

I am able to offer full OEM TT 225 set ups for forum members from delivery mile TT's the following:

OEM 312mm Disks
OEM Callipers
OEM Carriers
OEM Pads
OEM Hoses ?225.00 including UK shipping

As above but with
Zimmermann cross drilled disks ?285.00 including UK shipping

These sets are as new to new as possible, there is the lightest of wear on the pads, maybe a little dust on the ther parts but that's about it!

Is there any difference between the TT callipers and the standard Golf ones ?

As i'm looking to do this upgrade but my standard callipers have only covered 25K and just had some performance pads fitted 3K ago, so would it be the same just to get the carries and 312mm disc's ?
