Hi.

Have just had my Golf, sorry, Leon 150 remapped and after a couple of days use the clutch is starting to slip and its getting worse.

Now I knew this might happen but didn't expect it as quickly as this. I know the best thing is to slap a Sachs performance clutch in and I wholeheartedly agree, from reading peoples views on them.

But at this point in time my funds do not allow it as I would also like to change the DMF while I'm there because everything is on 75K so would be pointless not to.

Trouble is my wife uses the car for business purpose and I need to sort it quick so I have come across this on ebay. Sachs clutch but using a kevlar disc. Anyone come across it or used it? Seller says it's good for 270 BHP but I would rather know if anyone has actually used it before I get one.

Cheers in advance!

have a look at C&G motorsport they do all types of clutch kits stock fast road and custom http://www.clutch-specialists.co.uk/

quoted by Sem:

After A LOT of research into this I recently fitted an uprated Sachs pressure plate together with an OEM clutch disc.

Much cheaper than the full Sachs kit and will handle up to 350lbs/ft torque, for a remapped TDI this is more than adequate

i would sugest put a full clutch from sharan 150 pd it's stronger and will hold till 220 HP and 440 tq about. If you planing more modification use some custom cluch witch wont be cheap.
