Hi,

Im just wondering what sort of rev range people are getting in their Golf 130pd's at motorway speeds. Mine is exactly 3000rpm at 75mph which seems a lot higher than others i'v been talking to?

Has anyone got any suggestions why this might be?

In 5th gear mine would be about that, but in 6th my PD130 is about 2.2K-2.5K

No idea, may not be anything to worry about though.

In 6th mine is at 2k revs at 75mph and that should be a shorter box than yours.....Maybe you've got the 6 speed gearbox out of the wrong car...? :S

Small wheels and tyres? My speedo reads wrong by about 5mph compared to the sat nav there speedo 75 satnav 70.

was gonna say wrong tyre profile....speed will be out by a % as golfs are set high from VW, there is a special code you can enter in climate if you have it to display actual mph
