today my car hit the 100k mark in just over 2 years.

the only problems i ever had was a broken wire from alternator, a door switch(but actually started working again) 1 set of brake pads(but discs now have a lip on them) and ive no squeeeks and rattles from dash, and only current problem i have is the passenger side shock is busted wet with oil and anti roll bar bushins squeeking, a month or 2 ago it gave a nice healthy 206bhp.

it has been tuned from new and the engine is like the day i bought so it proves tuning does no harm.

have to say its very dependable.

Its probably all stock. Engine won't have been replaced, gearbox is probably fine, suspension might have been.

There's not to many motorways in Ireland, North or South. But 100,000miles in 2 years. Do you drive all day every day?
my car makes my living, i go to houses to repair appliances etc so i get a lot of running around, and some of the roads arent very good! so its used for work etc.

Since new I have had to do all the usual where and tear items like tyres, brake discs etc etc.

On top of that I have had done.

Top Mounts,

Front & Rear Bushes,

Front ABS Sensors,

Air Conditioning Compressor & Clutch,

Air Conditioning Fans.

And thats about it.......And its still going strong!!!

Just went through MOT at VW and the only thing that was faulty was part of the wiring loom that feeds the Rear Number plate light.

I will keep it until it completely dies!!!

FAO MICKY32: I've just had a third silencer put into my milltek downpipe where the cat usd to be to cure the boominess we discussed previously. OK, I had to visit them in Derbyshire, but it only took a couple of hours to do the job and the boominess appears to have gone away. It might work on yours too!? PS congrats on the mileage.
