The warnings about the bolts are well founded! The material they are made of is similar to primula cheese spread! Managed to damage 2 or 3 elsewhere along the edge and not the infamous pair. I was lucky though, and found them 'less tight' than the others. I suspect the sump had been changed before and the previous spanner monkey knew the future risks! Phew!
I pm'd Chris about the tool he used as the vw T10058 tool description is a bit vague and quotes a 6mm figure. Glad to report back it was 5mm which i thought might be the case. So thanks mate and hope you got yours sorted
