1.8t 150bhp (standard) - 1/4 mile in 16.96 seconds and 0-100 in 24.7 seconds

1.8t 180bhp (standard) - 1/4 mile in 15.6 seconds and 0-100 in 19.35 seconds

Remapped 1.8t with 205bhp - 1/4 mile in 14.5 seconds and 0-100 in 16 seconds

Standard golf R32 with 250bhp - 1/4 mile in 14.8 seconds and 0-100 in 16.9 seconds

So a remapped 1.8t is a tad quicker than a standard R32 (on a straight piece of road) [:D]

The reason the times decrease so much is beacuse of the vast increase in torque and bhp.

an extra 50/60bhp and 70/80lbft of torque....which is quite alot![:D]

.....an increase of more than 1/3 of the engines original power!

Golf GTTDI 130 0-60 =9.9 1/4 mile = 18.37 0-100mph = 31.3

Golf GTTDI 150 0-60 =8.6 1/4 mile = 17.1 0-100mph = 25.3
I'd always read that the 150 took 8.2s to reach 60mph, although have seen some magazine tests quote quicker than that - Diesel Car quoting 7.3 for the standard car in their superchips test, dropping to 6.8s when re-mapped with 185bhp

Its quick regardless! [Y]

Yea those times seem a little conservative to me too.

I had heard of standard pd150's running low 16's

What about peoples official times from running there cars?

I think the standard cars would be quicker still if they had firmer suspension to counter-act that front to rear weight transfer. This is one of the factors thats making me think more about a re-map - will it only be worth it if you can get the power down easily?!

I know what you mean, I have 280 lb/ft with 8.5" wheels and struggle for traction in first or if its the slightest but damp, so a chipped 150 must be a right dog.

Hoping some coilovers will help, then again dont rag it much low down, trying to keep my clutch as long as possible.

Coilys for me have tightened things up a treat, no lunging back and forward when you change gear, and mine is only standard.

How much are we talking for a set up like yours fitted, if you don't mind me asking?

I'd be interested to hear what you think once you've got the ARBs on mate, although i've heard that front-drivers only near the rear one changing, but i suppose its to each individuals opinion on what sort of drive you want
