I thought those times were for the 1.8T 150 and 180bhp versions.

150bhp - 8.5s

180bhp - 7.9s

I doubt the 1.8 20v NA engine could manage a 0-60 in 8.5seconds.

Parkers have:

2.0 NA - 10.2s

1.8 NA - 9.6s

1.8T 150bhp - 8.2s

1.8T 180bhp - 7.6s

Just been out and these are the results I got for 60-100mph with Vagcom.

I did loads using 3rd gear from 50mph and then flooring it and then changing up into 4th.

The last run I did was from 50mph in 4th all the way.

I got a far better time by starting in 4th and not bothering at all with 3rd.

Bear in mind I have a 6speed box.

60mph = 96.5kph

100mph = 160.934kph

mph = kph*0.6215

Using the times below I managed 7.2 seconds.

Yes Chris, 4th is by far my favourite gear though I wasnt expecting it to be that quick but then I was going off Johns guestimate of 8.5seconds.

It just loves High Boost 9, Timing 7 and very cold air []

I must try it again with some Millers CVL turbo mixed with Optimax!!

I thought John managed very high 13's - 13.89 or something very similar though that could have been with his E05.

I did a 0-100 last night on the first run, I ran a couple of gears to high, got too much wheel spin in 1st and 2nd but still got 14.8s to 100.

More experiments needed this weekend I think.
