Followed one for many miles on the way back from Le Mans this year (round Abbeville) in my friend's Ferrari 348. It was a black RUF 993 with super-wide 19" wheels and it accellerated like a scalded cat. We had a legendary time revving to the red line keeping up, overtaking lines of cars at once. Trouble was, when we got to Calais the front of the Ferrari had about 40 stone chips![B)][]

The "best" car we drove with was a matt black Ultima GTR which pulled along side us at 140mph, waved and then disappeared over the horizon. He MUST have been doing approaching 200mph, I kid you not.

PS this was early on the Monday morning before the Gendarmes had their breakfasts.

The car is pretty quick, top speed is around 217mph.

Its a RUF R turbo, built by RUF to our specifications. This exact car will appear in GT 4.
