Guys and Gals,

I was just wondering what sort of 100 times people are getting their remapped 1.8T's

Mines an AGU with a REVO map on it. I haven't done any timing yet, but i just wondered what i should be expecting.

If a remapped 1.8T (with other bits) can do a 1/4 mile in 14odd seconds then why is it taking 16-17 seconds to hit 100?

Surely 100 is practically achieved on a 1/4 mile sprint?

because it doesn't hit 100 in a 1/4 mile - this is from my test at brunters - my 0-100 was 13.3 but my qtr mile was only 14.91

its more to do with 0-60 for the qtr mile when i did 0-100 in 13.3 my 0-60 was only 6.55... wet day

Jabba's old IHI did a 0-100 in 11.80 with a 0-60 of 5.90 but its Qtr Mile was still only 14.11 and we all know that 0-100 in 11.80 seconds is seriously fast especially when the 0-60 is in the late 5's

In your IHI FAF car maybe!!

I did 13.8@103 at the pod on the ickle turbo, so sub 13 to a ton. But 1/4 times are all about 0-30mph

A chipped car with all the bolt ons will do 0-100 in about 14.5 secs, with the right driver and no weight reduction.

when i had my first ever go @ the pod @ bugjam this year i only got 6 runs in b4 i trashed my o/s inner cv joint, my fastest time was 102mph but @ 15 sec's, my quickest was 14.6 sec's 93mph, i was finding it hard to get power down and just getting used to it when BANG!, couple of dudes from jabba where watching and said the car was performing well and with more pratice could run in the late 13's[^]

Can someone explain to me about IHI please?! [:D]

www.jabbasport.com do turbo conversions, remaps and upgrades. which include a make of turbo called IHI.

(another couple of makes you will probably heard of is Garrett or Borg Warner)

Few cars about, including one I have which run these turbo's. All of em pretty quick motors.

last time i ran at the pod was in a cortina.(before all the red paint and grand stand style seating.[:I]

now i can get 0-60 in 2.7 seconds with a good launch and 0-100 in under 6 seconds that was before last lot of track modifications. this is cheating though on the yellow bullet.

Hmm, I suppose you are challenging the sub 6 to a 100? I had a TLR before my current Mille, they are darned quick for sure. I had regular 11.1's at 140ish. Not sure what the 0-100 was though, but I suspect it is in the 6's, maybe not sub 6?

Barabandit, have you got 0-100 times for yours?

Ps the Mille has had 10.78 at 143 twice at Avon Park! although that is with a few gearing mods, and the race kit tha came with it fitted!

Bikes are pretty quick bits of kit in a straight line, compared to most cars!

Your beezer will be about as quick as a big bike off the apex of a roundabout to about 120 or so! Bikes are tricky to put the power down over the "bump" when cranked over! I took Mike's Beezer out having just hopped off the bike, and I reckon its a pretty close thing between them! The car just handles the power amazingly well!!

I dont blame you wanting a bit of protection!

Not chalenging the bikes ability, but the average british bikers ability, and usual over lardiness. I've seen the guys from bike magazines trying to extract performance figures at brunters, with castors attached, and profesional riders.

I've rarely seen a standard road bike go sub 11 at the pod, usually with 120+ mph traps.

There are one or two people out there that can do it, and I salute you if you're one of them.
