I think sourcing wheels from Germany is well worth looking into. I transferred the money on Thurs (after checking out that his company existed first, and seeing his 99% feedback on ebay)and got confirmation they had been sent out on fri...should be with me next week.

What i'm getting: 18 x 8 ARA AR1 wheels (licenced by BBS), with 225/40/18 Nankang NS2's. Not the best tyres, but they'll do for now....i'll replace with some goodyear eagle F1's when its time, hopefully i'll have some more cash then! I think the price is pretty good though!

Now, just need to get the konigsports on, and the H&R ARB, and get the damn car started!

Thanks for the comments. They'll be going on my black 3dr 1.8T. I want to fit the coilovers and ARB at the same time, then i'll be sure to get some pics up! Any1 know if i'll need spacers on 8" wide wheels et35 to clear the coilovers?

Next up some hella RCCR's and a passat rear badge hopefully. Then after xmas some tints if i'm not completely broke by then!

Here's the details of the guy I was dealing with:

The guys name is Torsten and you can email him at: [email protected]

Other info I've got on him:

Torsten Lyding

Sales Manager

TS-Alurad GmbH

Haferwende 50

28357 Bremen

Tel.0421/20074-91

His ebay.de username is discount-alurad

The package I got off him was 1099euros, but he said that its gone up by 100euros now. Email him for a quote though and tell him I gave you his details. He's pretty good to deal with and his english is quite good which helps!

I'll get some pics of the wheels on my car in the next week or so. I'm very pleased with them!

kieron...they don't come in a 19" for 5x100 fitment, but they do for 5x112 fitment (new A3, passat etc). They come in a 17x?, 18x8 or 18x9 for the golf, I think 18x9's would look really good on the rear.

Web address for ASA wheels is: www.asaalloywheel.com

Thanks mate. I managed to contact him anyway but got a rather confusing reply. I asked him to quote for 8x18, 9x18 and 19's also. His reply said thatthey don't come in mk4 golf fitment but they obviously do as the piccies above show. I would be very keen on 9x18 rears and 8x18 fronts. Nice and fat so I'd be looking at about 1100 eurosthen. Hmm, not bad at all!!

Kieron....maybe he was refering to the 19" versions, they don't come in the right fitment for a golf in 19", only 18". Also, as I mentioned he said the cost for the same package has now gone up to 1200 euros.....i got the quote off him for 1099 euros a little while back and although he still honoured it, he said he would be charging 100 euros more now.

vedhead....they came with tyres, spigot rings alloy valve caps, and alloy wheel nuts, all fitted and balanced for ?770!

They're fitted now and i love em! Shame I can't take any pics just yet, my dad's taken the digital camera on holiday. Needs lowering anyway before i post the pics.
