A service is happening in a month from 'other' funds.

I like the save for IHI option but I will resist for now.
More interested in the new bolt-ons for a good 280-300bhp without messing around with internals.

NOS, been in that way of thinking and decided its not for me.
Insurance company said no chance plus all the added refill costs were starting to put me off anyway.

ABD CAI, I was going to get one but have since changed my mind due to a couple of reasons.
One being our awful winters and on the spot storms getting at the exposed filter. Within a month it will probably be half as effective as it was when it first started. The other reason was the metal pipe getting hot, Tabs finally got through to me!!

R32 front will be happening (hopefully) in a few months time but I have an Anniversary front valance waiting for me at my local courier.
So Tim, make me an offer on the Oettinger valance, don't be afraid to insult me [;)]

what do you get a guy who has everything ?

Looking at the full spec on your website, i really can't think of much !!

Have you considered stubby mirrors?

I think the Us/Euro? spec rear light clusters (white or slight tint) would suit your car, I am bored of the R/C/C/R, but they still look good.

What about putting it towards an upgraded alarm system ( i don't think i read that)?

Maybe the hoses you suggested are the best option.

On a side note i'm glad you've got the front anni valance to go on, i personally have never liked the oettinger, but i know that views are split 50/50 for/against it.

I'm also interested in the new K03/04 eliminator kits!

As for the ?200 credit, don't think I could personally justify spending it on coolant hoses. However as I know myself you're fast running out of options for affordable mods. How about a pulley kit (not sure on this TBH)? Also I don't think you've upgraded to poly bushes have you, so how about those? How about an upper gearbox mount? Put it towards a water injection kit?

I have around ?200 in credit to spend on something for my car.

Current leader would be Samco coolant pipes.

Any better idea's / something i've missed?
Save it for Edition 38, then have a good browse while your there. You might spot something you want. But reading your spec list, there ain't much you havn't already done.

How about a carbon engine cover ???

Sell the Oettinger front (to me on the cheap, you never did give a rough price!) & get yourself a nice R32 front bumper. Maybe a little over your ?200 but with the sale of the valence its do-able...nearly!
Morning MrG.. what you planning on doing with your anni valence ?? [;)][:)]
You should just buy my whole car!! Wheels, valence, You'll be afer my leather Recaro's next [:p] [:O] LOL

Only jokin mate, in all seriousness the Oettinger one would'nt be for me (much to your dissapointment!) its for my girlfriends 1.8T.

GaryM

Are you going to put an Anni Valance on the front of your car?

It's just that you have mentioned a number of times that you don't like the Anniversary kit, so I just wondered what has changed your mind, is it for a mod you have planned.

Interesting ( said with small finger resting on corner of mouth) still seems a bit strange going aftermarket for an oem look
Huh? [:^)]

I assume this is aimed at me Henry?

Not strange at all as I dont like the Anni skirts, they are way too plain with no flowing lines unlike the Oettinger skirts.
Im also not a big fan of the Anni front valance as it looks too 'soft' if I may, the Oettinger valance on the other hand has a little aggression to it, especially in a rear view mirror.
The Anni rear valance IMO is by far the best product available in that catagory. It would have been easy for me to complete the full Oettinger look but their attempt at the rear valance just doesnt do it for me.
My custom painted RC's are also a slight twist away from OEM, white worm just isnt my thing!!

I didnt think about an OEM look when I bought the bits, just the look I wanted for my car which I think works pretty well.

Would you agree with that?

ps Cheers Mike for the vote of confidence

Yeah, come on Gary...why the change of mind when you told me you didn't want to create an Anni replica?! [:p]

I've never been a fan of the Oettinger front but it goes really well on your car and looks very unique with the 'mix n match' of other bodykit parts.

Gary, how about the full set of these...

For the full set it comes to just around the ?200 mark, maybe a few quid over! [;)]

I plan on fitting these myself in the future, along with the 101 other things i plan on buying, and think these would do justice to your engine bay, what with already having the Neuspeed upper strut brace, these would be a fine accompaniment! [Y]
