I know this question has been asked a million times but im still unsure of the answer Sad

How wide can i go on the rear of my golf ?

Im looking to buy new wheels in the next 2 - 3 months and i want to go for a staggerd fitment.

Will i fit 10 inch wide on the rear with stretched tyres or should i go for 9 inch wide?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Ceri

Well im going for 18 inch, Im gonna have 8x18 on the front and i wanted 10x18 on the rear but aint got a clue about offsets ect.

The wheels are gonna be direct fitment for a mk4 golf if that makes a difference

Well i think ive decided to go for 9 inch wide on the rear now rather than 10s.

Just need to decide if i want 17s or 18s now Angry

Does anyone have any pics of stretched tyres on 9 inch wide wheels?

I would go with 9s on the rear too, more practical that 10s.  Gotta be 18s tho mate, you will only wish you went bigger if you get 17s.

10s will fit no worries, you need to work out the offsets, a 35mm normal offset is gonna stick out a little bit, but still doable. will look great whatever, i'm sure

randomly a thread on here about this today, with loads of pics

the grey looks great, i love time attack style rims with the red stripe but think that red stripe is a little bit too wide. a thin red line around the rim would be much better.

I think i owe you a few beers now Andy Beer

Anyway here is how it is now

    And this is the photochop

The dish on the rear will be a lot bigger aswell (like the pic above) but was awkward to with the pics Andy had.

Im really liking it and will be ordering them as soon as they are available with the people we deal with in work.
