Bored of how everyone has bought these now and no one appreciates them so much, i decided to transform mine slightly.

They are a set of 8x18" replica Audi A8 wheels, these ARE the good replicas and cost me a bit when they first started coming out.

I thought about loads of different colours but in the end decided on black as it would match the dark interior, black roof and mirrors.

I got quoted some silly money by body shops so decided to paint myself

I have a mate in Halfords who sorted me out with some cheap cans of primer, gloss paint and some laquer...

 i have mine in black as well and funny enough, i did the same thing painted them with holfords paint, its crap when u get a stone chip tho as you can see the chip more, as to silver

 i dont think i have seen stone chips on wheels but will look out for them, its not gonna be hard to touch them up really....

Looking good, i like the stealth look with the steelies though!

 the steels suck ass. calipers are so close to the wheels!! i put some spacers in there!! handles surprisingly well too!! cannot lose the back end on them babies!! they are going asap tho. doing another wheel tonight but not painting as there is too much moisture in the air.

I would like to see these finished, any pics?

 not finished yet. all painted, centre caps are proving more difficult!! lol Just laquer to go but cant do it yet as the workshop they are in has customers cars in and cant get them sprayed by accident. HOPEFULLY going to be finished this week. they do look amazing though!! Cant wait!!!

Ah I just curious, fancy a set of these in black myself as a nice winter rim as theres loads of these around cheap now days etc. But truthfully, if they turn out nice enough, who knows lol!

 almost done, 2 wheels have 3 coats of laquer, need to buy more to finish other 2 wheels. Then sort the centre caps out and then fit the tyres!! sorted!

 They are 90% done!! just need centre caps doing!!

And then on the car, dirty at night (lol) still missing centre caps, they are the hardest as the VW sticker dosent come off :)

 have to be honest they look sick on their own... but i dont feel they suit your car mate... but nice job... looks very professional

 thanks mate, yer i thought that to start with but i have black mirrors, black roof etc and they do actually look good, ill take a daylight shot with them all in and see wot you think. Everyone i know that has seen it thinks it looks much better than the "polished" look.... everyone has opinions tho and thanks for looking :)

 Painted white would have looked different and stood out! Got a set of 19" on mine, picked them up cheap £575 with tyres thats brand new!

 smart mate, wish i had bought 19"s now. tyres were cheaper for me at the time. o well!! white wouldnt have looked good on my car!!

These have turned outa really well, quite a bad influence on me I must admit. Cant wait to see what you do with the caps. You could always just sand the life outta them, spray to match and then buy some ebay stickers for them?

Personally think that just plane black would look awesome on the caps myself!

 I soo need to do this to some winter rims for myself!!

Any progress on the centre caps, shame you couldnt just buy some blank ones via ebay etc!
